Getting up early is vital to successful wildlife photography. The wildlife is more active and the light at its best. I travel to a local lake for dawn and to try and photograph a Black-necked grebe.

Using the OM-1 camera and the 150-400mm lens I also discuss two recent tripod heads I have bought. One is the Miller Compass 12 and the best head I have owned so far.
