Meet the Weedy Sea Dragon, a beautiful marine creature that is found along the Australian coastline. They are a type of fish related to Sea Horses, and like Sea Horses, male Sea Dragons are responsible for incubating the eggs, and they do so in a specialised area on their tail. Sea Dragons have been protected in NSW since 1994, under the Fisheries Management Act. However, threats like habitat degradation and increasing temperatures are endangering their population. We must protect Australian coastlines in order to save endemic species, like the majestic Sea Dragon.
