This 50-tonne sperm whale got lost and ended up in waters much shallower than usual, getting stuck near the coast of Shetland.
After 10 days of swimming in eight metres of water, the 45-feet-long whale was finally rescued and manoeuvred out to the open sea, with the help of several boats.
Dad-of-three Gary Buchan, who filmed drone footage of it, said: "The whale has gone hopefully, never to be seen again."
