After hibernating under the frozen surface during the cold months, the aquatic insect capable of strolling, gliding through liquid, and soaring awakens at the initial hints of warmer weather. Its environment: a tiny body of water. Its companions: damselflies, amphibians, and salamanders. Its routine existence: endurance. Amid occasional conflicts, it produces around two dozen offspring in diverse forms... solely the greediest among them will reach maturity prior to the pool evaporating.
