Growing certain house plants, from the top of your aquarium can have so many benefits. Known as Aquaponics, the plants will feed on ammonia, nitrites and nitrates that form from fish waste. Its a great way of helping to clean the water of the fish tank, and helps in algae control, as they compete with algae for the nutrients in which it thrives.
