Bird Photography in Jordan. Part 1

I have always enjoyed deserts for bird photography. They are wide open spaces with excellent light and often clean, smooth backgrounds. Car window photography is very appropriate and usually wheatears and larks easy to approach.

I take an empty bean bag with me and fill it with rice, which is always available at any food shop around the world. I like a beanbag to be heavy so do not use them filled with polystyrene, which is very popular with wildlife photographers.

I visited the two well known wetland reserves of Azraq and Aqaba, but was disappointed at both.

This trip is divided into two parts and next week I will show part two.
