This episode we find a great variety of snakes and other reptiles, including a Red Headed Krait, which unfortunately regurgitated a venomous pit viper. When threatened, snakes will quite commonly regurgitate their meals to allow them greater mobility in attempting to escape. Typically we tend to leave snakes that have recently eaten alone to avoid this, but with this one we didn't notice till it was too late (snakes inside other snakes are not as noticeable due to the form factor). This was not harmful to the krait, and we recorded as much data as possible from the event in order to publish a natural history note on it. Afterward, we left the snake in the same ditch we found the Krait, hoping it may come back and eat it again at a later time.
