Crows have given a whole new dimension to the term birdbrain. Naturally, for a small bird, their brains are tiny compared to mammals. But scientists have no hesitation in comparing the intellect of a crow with that of a great ape.

Although crows’ brains are smaller than those of primates and have a different structure, they have developed densely clustered neurons, affording them the mental abilities such as problem-solving. But to find out just how smart they are, several researchers have put ravens' intelligence to the test.
