Absolutely.....and I don't know. What I do know is there is a lot more going on in that little brain than people think. And I know that the love I feel for my reptiles is just as real as the love I have for my dog. Can you keep a reptile and give it a good quality life without loving it? Sure. But you're really missing something. It takes a lot of effort, time and respect to develop a bond like this with a snake. And this girl came to me with pretty bad PTSD which makes it even more special that she trusts me this much.
