This Barred Owl was far from decent condition when we showed up on scene. Rescue work isn’t for the faint of heart as many birds of prey are far too injured and/or emaciated by the time we arrive. Bare Hands Beran didn’t have much hope for this owl, but we’re here to get them to help as long as there’s a heartbeat.
