You can never get rid of Black brush Algae, BBA or also known as Black beard algae. You can only control Black brush Algae in your tank, none of the algae can be completely cleared out from your aquarium.
Algae is very important in your aquarium just like your lights, co2, and filter.
Black brush Algae or Black Beard Algae appears in your planted tank due to improper water circulation in your tank, mostly due to inefficient filtration. Black brush algae can also occur if your co2 is low or the lighting period is high.

Black brush Algae on wood , Black brush Algae on stone, Black brush Algae on plants or anywhere in your planted tank is due to the bad filtration system in your tank.

But what if the black brush algae or black beard algae is already present in your planted tank, in most cases, its very hard to remove BBA with the hand or even with the brush.
Black brush algae hold on to wood, stone or plants very tightly. It's not that easy to get rid of black brush algae.
If the black brush algae on wood are just starting to grow, adding a few Siamese algae eater should weaken the BBA. But this will not entirely clear the algae.
What about the Black brush algae on plants, the simple solution is to cut the leaf that has the BBA on it.
One simple method to weaken and clear the Black brush algae is to use ADA python Git plus. Its harmless solution to weaken your BBA which then can be cleared out with a brush and a siamese algae eater.

Black brush algae or Black beard algae indicates that your filtration is improper and its time to add some Siamese algae eaters.
Never ever use hydrogen peroxide to clear out your black brush algae it will affect your ecosystem entirely.
Normal planted tank maintenance like weekly water changes, 6-8 hours of good lighting , a good dosage of fertilisers, running your filter continuously and trimming should keep your aquarium healthy.
