The white-breasted waterhen is a waterbird of the rail and crake family, Rallidae, that is widely distributed across South and Southeast Asia. They are dark slaty birds with a clean white face, breast and belly.
This family of waterhen makes a floating nest near the house. There are bird parents to help incubating eggs. When the mother bird leaves the nest to look for food. There was a snake trying to eat bird eggs. But mom came back to see it. So she attacks the snake until it disappeared.
