Driving Down from North Carolina AJ and her dad, came to see the mother land as they called it. Both long time followers to my channel, I sure was glad to get a chance to meet them.

AJ Runs a reptile rescue Be Wild Reptile Rescue up in North Carolina she is doing a great job, make sure to check her web site out.

She enjoyed feeding Tank my 38 year old giant male Aldabra tortoise who I raised from a hatchling.

Tanks was the only Tortoise who braved the mid-day heat.
AJ had a couple of health questions she had heard that the eyes on her animals looked funny and thought antibiotics was indicated
And that there may be deformity issues with the Plastrons,
as they did not look normal and it was much too young to show features of a male,

After seeing some of her picture's, turns out, yes the eyes were different.
But, I was able to put her mind at ease .
The tortoise's had green eyes, not infected eyes.

Her second concern was the plastron, it looked like a deformity maybe from prior heath issues .
Turs out: Aldabras at the age of 3 or 4 years old, in some individual males you can see the plastron start to dib in.
This is more evident then tail size at this age.
