Adirondack Mammals: Flying squirrels are said to be slow and clumsy on the ground, but I haven’t seen evidence of that on the trail cams. These squirrels are very wary and alert to danger, as indeed they should be, since this trail is frequented by multiple predators, including Gray Foxes, Red Foxes, and Eastern Coyotes.
