Spring is the new beginning for many amphibians and reptiles. But not all want hot days. Salamanders and frogs prefer warm days with much rain. Then, they start sometimes incredibly huge migrations towards the closest lake / stream, where the breeding starts. Fire salamanders there give birth to alive offspring (larvae), while toads lay eggs. Unfortunately, many amphibians actually don´t reach the goal.
