The reptile business has undergone significant changes over the last 20+ years. Primarily, in its accessibility to everyday people. Social media hype makes reptiles seem so cool (which is great), and sometimes can make you think YOU can become a new business owner. Besides costs, there are many things to consider. In this week's video, I'll highlight some things YOU should take into consideration before taking that dive into becoming a reptile breeder!

My name is Jeremy Turgeon, and I am a lifelong reptile enthusiast. Starting at the age of 6, my life has become a childhood dream turned lifestyle. Over a 25+ year career, I have worked with nearly 100 species of reptiles and amphibians, and bred close to 70% of those species. Under the watchful eye of some of my good friends and industry greats, I honed my skills in keeping and breeding reptiles. Currently, I have over a dozen species of reptiles, from Ball Pythons and Corn Snakes to Amazon Tree Boas and Borneo Short Tail Pythons. I pride myself on species diversity, proper husbandry, far-reaching knowledge, and a continued desire to learn and improve.
