Barn owl chick's 1st flight ????????

The eldest of Gylfie's barn owl chicks, Freya, ventures out of the nest for the first time, but soon discovers the world is full of scary things.

FIRST A HOP
Watch as this six-week old owlet makes her first trip into the world, hopping, rather than flying, onto the platform that supports this nest box.

A TAWNY OWL ARRIVES
Moments later a tawny owl flies down to investigate. Its arrival scares young Freya, who is the oldest of Gyflie's three chicks, and she screeches out in alarm.

OWLETS SIBLINGS
Inside the nest box Freya's two siblings, Griffin and Fern, hear the sound and join in the commotion. But it's only one of the tawny owlets coming to find out who's new in the area.

FINALLY, THE FIRST FLIGHT
Still, Freya cuts short her explorations and beats a hasty retreat, flying back up to the nest. It's a retreat, but it's her first ever flight!
