So excited to see a Red Fox hunting in natural rough grassland habitat which has now become so rare across the UK. Given the opportunity, a fox is happiest hunting for plentiful voles at this time of year. They have probably eaten all the low hanging blackberries by now. "Foxes have a very wide and varied diet. On salt marshes they eat crabs and dead seabirds, while in upland regions carrion may be important, particularly during the winter months. In lowland rural areas small mammals, especially field voles and rabbits, are the major source of food, with earthworms, beetles, fruit (particularly blackberries) and small birds also being eaten." https://www.mammal.org.uk/species-hub/full-species-hub/discover-mammals/species-fox/
