Have the chickens been laying eggs while I haven't been collecting?

I went down to the chicken coop to collect some chicken eggs after three days of not getting them. The chickens were extremely excited and surprisingly they actually had a good amount of eggs. There were seven eggs in the first coop, two eggs in the second coop, two eggs in the third coop, four eggs in the fourth coop and no eggs in the last coop. Other than the last coop, all the chickens did well laying some eggs.
