Today's video is a care and breeding guide on the Geophagus steindachneri. They are beautiful cichlids with males getting a big red hump that really stands out in a tank, and they are a South American cichlid.

Due to their temperament, coloration, and behavior, they are compatible tank mates with some American cichlids. Tank mate options that will usually work well are Severums, Electric Blue Acaras, and larger barbs or tetras.
