#seahorse #seahorses #aquarium #aquariums
Welcome to the National Marine Aquariums' (NMA Plymouth) newest exhibit, known as the Seahorse Cavern, home to a large group of beautiful lined seahorses and many more interesting sea creatures, including Frogfish, Cardinalfish and Black long-spined sea urchins! The National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth is the UK's largest aquarium that holds a staggering 6 million litres of water, and houses around 4000 animals! NMA Plymouth was first opened in 1998 and was the first UK aquarium to be opened purely as a charity and for the purpose of education, research and conservation. As an initiative of the Ocean Conservation Trust, it promotes habitat restoration and maintenance, to keep our ocean environments healthy.
