Hydroxyl radicals = they are highly oxidizing in nature which is attribute to their oxidation potential.
These OH radicals are knowing to clean atmospheric air.
In our fish tanks we have negative ions in the water column, positive ions in the Substrate and negative and positive ions in the Plenum itself.

Freshwater systems have a redox reading of 250 mV
