I'm re-setting up my Goldie tank. I've had my Goldies for a couple years now and they are doing great and are large. I heard of deep substrate methods. I need advice on the difference between a plenum (which I plan to set up as I've bought it already) and just a dirtied tank like Walstad having deep substrate. Still would like to know the difference in benefit. Which one would be best for my 4 dear Goldies. Someone told me not to use the plenum. He said it was worthless just use sand. That didn't sound right to me. I want what's best for them and for me. I also have a canister filter with a BCB bag in it of kitty litter and red fluorite mixed on the tank. No live plants as yet just silk. Thinking of Java fern, Anubis, and water lettuce. I've had planted tropical tanks, but, my Goldies love to eat things, as you well know. Just want to set it up right this time.

Just got the word from somebody on my channel that they bought the last one. And that was within 15 minutes of me posting this video.
