Deemed to be embued with the power of healing, mankind has woven numerous tales celebrating the dolphin, which have inspired and enthralled people throughout the ages. In this episode, Peter rides the waves of the South African coast to explore the watery world of the bottlenose dolphins, learn their habits and listen to their songs. These gregarious mammals exhibit remarkable intelligence and have complex communication and social systems. Through the pioneering underwater filming techniques used by Peter, we are able to observe their fascinating behaviour as they play and hunt and interact.
