In previous episodes I’ve talked about the benefits of having Marigolds in your garden - so this year I decided to plant them all over the place. Birds will often use the flowers to get rid of feather mites, and Marigolds also attract Hummers. Between the Marigolds and the Scarlet runners we’ve got in the garden, there is a lot of Hummer activity this summer. Dr. Bird discusses the effects of wildfires on birds, and he is back again with an amusing story about birds in Europe using anti-bird spikes to make nests.
