A hungry cobra has picked up their scent,and the only thing standing between the snake and the babies is the father squirrel. But there's no way he can handle this yellow cobra alone. Fortunately, his neighbor is a snake hunter. He lets out cries for help and the mongoose, awakened from its sleep, rushes out of its burrow.The cobra goes on the defensive when it sees the new opponent but it can't escape the mongoose's blows and none of its own attacks are successful. Luckily, the mongoose isn't hungry and came out only to protect the squirrels, which gives the cobra a chance to escape. But this isn't the mongoose's only heroic story. Animals like squirrels and meerkats often prefer to build their nests in areas where mongooses live, and they try to bond with them, so the mongoose will protect them when the time comes.
