Watch this whitetip reef sharks weave through coral and hunt like real pros, squeezing into crevices to ambush unsuspecting prey hiding beneath the reef! Filmed at Raine Island during my Far North expedition, this moment captures the unique hunting style of Triaenodon obesus, one of the few sharks adapted to wriggle into tight spaces in search of fish and octopus. Their flexible bodies and ability to rest on the seafloor make them reef ambush specialists.
