How to prepare duckweed for your shrimp.

One, scoop out some Duckweed from your tank. Two, and this is how I do it, take some dechlorinated water and fill it in a pot and get it to a boil. Three, place your duckweed in the pot and let it boil for approximately 2 minutes. In the meantime, fill up a bowl with some more dechlorinated water and place it in your fridge or freezer. Four, after about 2 minutes of boiling, take the pot off the burner and see if the Duckweed starts sinking to the bottom. If so, you’re good to go. Five, scoop out the Duckweed and place it in the bowl of cold water so that it can cool down. And finally, six, add the Duckweed to your aquarium or shrimp tank and wait for your shrimp to start grazing. If you have Otocinclus Catfish, you may notice them also joining in on the meal.
