This is a video of my "wild" toad, Chunky! I say "wild" in quotations because even though he is like my pet, he can also take care of himself and is not 100% dependent on me since he lives outside in our window well.
Before you worry about the way I'm holding him, I'd like to state a few facts:
1: I always handle my toads gently and with clean hands. I understand that toads can catch diseases through bacteria and oils on the human skin, but like I said, I don't handle my toads often to begin with, and when I do, my hands are always clean.
2: The window wells are the toads' chosen home. They come there by themselves, stay there, and live happy lives. It is also a safe place for them to spend the winter during hibernation. I also give them pans full of water in the summer so that they have a source of moisture, and there are plenty of green plants in the wells where they can find shade. It's like a toad resort!
Ok, so say what you will now...I hope I don't get any negative feedback, and I hope you enjoyed this video. Leave whatever comments you want, but I've said my piece. ???????? And for all of you in the comments who think this is a frog and not a toad before I said what the species was...PLEASE, go do some research. I BEG YOU lol ????????
