My Walstad Jar Aquarium was a success and it has been more than two years since I had made it. It has been literally a zero maintenance tank except for topping up water. Zebra nerite snail never left any dirt in the aquarium which need to be cleaned.
Initially I experimented with many aquarium plants. But only 'Dwarf Sagittaria' has managed to survive and thrive.
Now taken inspiration from some fellow aquarium enthusiasts I am adding two more plants to the Walstad Jar. Pearl weed (Hemianthus Micranthemoides) and Vallisneria spiralis. My favourite Cherry Shrimps are back in my Jar Aquarium along with the cleaning team of Zebra Nerite Snails.
