I am growing an avocado plant in this aquarium. Using Cryptocoryne Parva as the foreground carpeting plant and Pearlweed as the background plant. Red roots floaters and dwarf water lettuce as floaters.

This is a walstad aquarium which uses potting soil capped with sand as the substrate. It relies on lots of plants to filter the water and supply oxygen for its inhabitants. Maintaining a high plant-to-livestock ratio is essential. More plants help absorb waste and improve water quality, while a lighter bioload reduces the risk of nutrient buildup, keeping the ecosystem balanced and healthy.
